What do you wish that everybody knew?
If a child is lost, who should he ask for help? A random passer-by, or the first stranger who talks to him? When someone approaches a lost child, it's because they made a deliberate choice to do so. So too when people approach you. In order to stay safe as you go through life you must keep two very important things in mind. First, a random human is overwhelmingly likely to be good. Second, the average person who contacts you first is motivated by something: possibly altruism, possibly mutual benefit, and possibly scamming you to try and steal your bank account details. It is important for your soul to remember that bad experiences actively seek you out while good ones are content to wait for you. Losing faith in those strangers who approach you need not mean losing your faith in all strangers.
