I wish everybody knew that their youthful plans and dreams might not work out. Thing is, that is okay. I didn't get my dream degree or dream job that I had in mind in high school. This is a good thing. When I look back, I realize I would have been miserable. Now I have a degree I never thought I'd get and working a career I never thought I wanted... and they are both the best things that have ever happened to me. Also after years of wishing I was married and had lots of kids I'm realizing how lucky and happy I am to be single and childfree. Sometimes what you think you want is bad for you. Sometimes what you think you'll never go after is exactly the goal you should aim for.
