Enlightenment is the result of a choice. The choice to refuse to believe the big lie. The big lie is that we believe that what we see is reality, not just a representation. Our belief that a representation is the real thing is what causes suffering, lack of peace, and lack of absolute faith. You can only choose truth when you’ve had enough knowledge combined with enough pain from the belief that a lie is the truth.
